Saturday March 7th
It’s My Parks Day
Hello neighbors
It’s My Parks Day is on March 7th and this year Bouldin is pairing our 29th annual Bouldin Creek cleaning with a community art project by Austin artist, Gigi Miller, the local artist who was selected by the City of Austin’s Art in Public Places program to create a sculpture for Ricky Guerrero Park.
The clean-up kicks off at 8:30am at Ricky Guerrero Park with coffee and some breakfast snacks. From there we shall spread out to various locations along the creeks. Please bring gloves and be prepared to get muddy; wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts and sturdy shoes. We’ll supply trash bags.
At 11:30 am we return to Ricky Guerrero Park for lunch from local vendors. From 11:30am-2:00pm we will have a community art presentation with artist Gigi Miller.
There will be more details to come on this event shortly.
