Protect What You Love: Bouldin Creek Takes the First Step Toward Becoming Firewise
On April 16th, more than 40 Bouldin Creek neighbors joined the Austin Fire Department’s Wildfire Division for a powerful and eye-opening Firewise meeting. With our neighborhood surrounded by four parks and increasing fire risks across Central Texas, this conversation couldn’t have come at a better time.
The message was clear: wildfires are no longer just a rural issue—they are a real threat to urban neighborhoods like ours. The good news? There are simple, actionable steps we can all take to reduce our risk. But we must act—now.
