All the News that Fits February 2018

Hot off the press is the February Bouldin Bulletin

The same good stuff you might have read while drinking a cup of coffee —but in digital form, a potentially more mobile-friendly, color, version of the Bouldin Bulletin.

27th Annul Creek Cleaning on Saturday, March 3

Neighbors,
We will hold our 27th Annul Creek Cleaning on Saturday, March 3, in conjunction with the Austin Parks Foundation’s It’s My Park Day. Registration is now open at https://austinparks.givepulse.com/event/68954-Bouldin-Creek-27th-Annual-Creek-Cleaning-Party

Some logistics are still in flux while we are waiting to see how East Bouldin Creek recovers from the sewage spill and whether it will be safe to send volunteers  in for a clean-up.

If it is, we’ll meet at 8:30 am in N Dawson Park on the corner of Gibson and South 1st for coffee, then send crews into both East and West Bouldin Creek areas to collect trash. With enough volunteers, we’ll also be able to mulch trails in the West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt. (Alternate plan: meet at the South 6th Street entrance to the greenbelt and work only there.)

Please wear heavy shoes, long-sleeved shirts and long pants to protect against poison ivy. We’ll provide gloves, tools and trash bags as well as coffee in the morning and refreshments at noon.
Hope to see you there,
Ingrid Weigand
